  • Zodiac solved

    By Sgt Devil Dog
I used to like true crime but lost interest when I realized the daily news was continuous true crime. Which is messed up. Anyways , I saw a Facebook post about this book and I was immediately drawn in and downloaded the iBook. The only thing that could be better is that the illustrations, pictures and Zodiac ciphers be provided as you read. If you want to see pictures or documents you have to go to the end of the iBook in the illustrations sections. The book is really good and I totally believe that the author is the son of the Zodiac. I started reading and couldn't put down the book. Every detail about the Zodiac is explained. The circle with a cross was explained and I literally got chills. Everyone thinks the circle with a cross is the symbol of a sniper rifle but it's not it's a religious cross with a circle around it . That really freaked me out. What I also thought was interesting was that the Zodiac died a couple of months after his father passed away. That had nothing to do with the murders but the timeline the author provided was interesting and sad. I completely believe that the Zodiac was created , I don't think he was born a sociopath. Bad mothers seem to ruin people and creat monsters. The author of the book was kind of irritating. He tracked down his biological siblings and basically interrogated his sister , which lead to her not wanting to have a relationship with him. (The Zodiac abandoned the author in a stairwell) The author of this book came across as self centered , whiny and rude. He seemed to care more about proving the Zodiac was his father then what this book would do to his children or family. Sometimes people care more about fame and money. A great read and I totally believe that the Zodiac is Earl Van Best JR and the San Fransisco police department covered it up.

Ok now we just need David Fincher to go back and remake this movie haha! What a incredible story. Finally all these yrs later it's solved not by sfpd but by the zodiacs son. Btw this will make for one unbelievable movie!

I'm satisfied, would like to know about DNA evidence, otherwise pretty compelling. Downside is some long winded spots on god, but then again he's baptist.
  • As good, as his Dad was Bad

This book is a remarkable piece of work. The author spends most of the time demonstrating why his father was the zodiac killer. In between however he displays the kindness, compassion, intelligence and courage that his father did not have. His thesis that unresolved anger lead to murder is not only plausible but tragically clear. I downloaded the book at about noon, and have done nothing but read it until 6:20pm I recommend it highly, I can't think of a better story or a more compelling presentation.

My husband and I watched the movie when it came out about the Zodiac killer. I was born in New Orleans Louisiana in 1969 and raised in Houma. I know you had a wonderful life Gary! This is a must read!!!! Wonderful job creating this book!
  • Where are the finger print and hand writing examples?

    By schubert1970
I just finished reading this book and it's compelling. I believe the author has been honest with his findings. I myself was abandoned by my father when I was born so I can understand his motivation to keep digging for answers. It would gave been nice to see pics of the finger prints and hand writing examples, maybe it's not available in an e-book. I think the author makes a big leap with motive. I'm not sure the motive makes that much sense to but if Van was that crazy ten I guess anything is possible. I see all the images have now been uploaded, Wow!!! This evidence is incredible!
  • Riveting read; impossible to put down

    By Marcoliverwright
Thoroughly enjoyable, masterfully crafted-"the most dangerous animal of all" by Gary Stewart and Susan Mustafa is very reminiscent of James Ellroy's "My Dark Places". Semi autobiographical with good evidence to back the authors claims, it is a riveting read and not to be missed.
