Piggy Promise, Pinky Swear Debbie Oppezzo & Linda Haedrich-Dodd read online review & book description:

Do you remember "linking pinkies" and making a pinky swear with some of your best friends?  Mary Ellen, also known as M.E. does.  She recites the rhyme over and over again until she knows it by heart!
Piggy Promise, Pinky Swear,
I'll do my best to be aware
of the promise that I make,
I will not break for goodness sake.
Will I break it?  No, not I.
For if I do piggies will cry!
M.E. thinks pinky swears are fun to make until she has trouble keeping her promise.

This book is a must have for a primary teacher's library! It is great for that special one-on-one time, or small groups. It will bring sunshine to those rainy day recesses. Students are delighted with the interactive aspect and the pigs have them giggling with joy.

This is a wonderful, creatively written book. My daughter and I love reading it and having it read to us. My daughter loves clicking on the items. I read this to my seconds grade class! They loved it!!

I read the book to my neighbors child. She loved the pigs. She loved touching all the pigs to see the words pop up! She even tried reading the words. Now she wants a jump rope so she can repeat the rhyme while jumping! Fun book!
  • Kid's loved it!

My 4yr old was entranced by it. The 2yr old started jabbing the entire screen when he realized it was interactive. It will become part of the bedtime reading rotation. I was also impressed to see the two authors master the software needed to do this. :) Hope there are plenty more to come! My kids are joining the reading world right now!

Gently written lessons of life read aloud by an obviously experienced storyteller that captured my granddaughter's attention immediately and held it until the end. Fun exploration of text in the touchable illustrations, too!
