Taking Chances Molly McAdams read online review & book description:

Her first year away is turning out to be nearly perfect, but one weekend of giving in to heated passion will change everything

Eighteen-year-old Harper has grown up under the thumb of her career marine father. Ready to live life her own way and to experience things she's only ever heard of from the jarheads in her father's unit, she's on her way to college at San Diego State University.

Thanks to her new roommate, Harper is introduced to a world of parties, gorgeous guys, family, and emotions. She finds herself being torn in two as she quickly falls in love with both her new boyfriend, Brandon, and her roommate's brother, Chase. Despite their dangerous looks and histories, both men adore Harper and would do anything for her, including taking a step back if it would mean she'd be happy.

It's very rare that a book actually makes me mad, but this one takes the cake. First, the author clearly steals so many plot points from Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. That book by the way is fantastic, this book is not. This author starts with an unlikable heroine and then adds a heaping dash of emotional manipulation to round out this train wreck of a book. I'm not going to give spoilers, although honesty this book is so bad it deserves to be ruined, I'll just say don't bother with this book. If you do, you've been warned.

I haven't "ugly cried" from a book in years but I haven't been able to stop! I wish it ended differently but it didn't. Stock up on tissues if you read this.

This is by far the worst book I have ever read. I guess they decided to skip out on the editing because the shifts in the story made no sense whatsoever, and it annoyed me to no end that they couldn't even get the sex of the doctor correct. In one sentence it was a she and then in the other a he. I really wish I could get a refund because this was honestly the biggest waste of time.
