To fix the economic crises, we must first fix the economic crisis in each family and household. We talk about the value of money, and family values, but real value begins in the family with the successful production of people. Cinderella is "Every-woman." Whether we are aware of it or not, most women, with the aid of Mother Nature, have a goal to preserve the family and to achieve reproductive success. Cinderella is a cultural "time-machine," representing the power of women, mothers, and households throughout the ages. All living things produce, reproduce and maintain themselves. Whether critters live in nests, flocks, schools, trees, or holes in the ground...they maintain their "households."
It is through this maintenance--housework--that change happens, that the treasures of society--people--are produced. Housework produces wage-workers, yet who supports the "house-workers?"
Provide what you can and receive what you need. By providing proper support to house-workers and families, we will all receive what we need in this never-ending circle of life.
Cinderella's Housework is OCCUPY WALL STREET with a focus on the family as the source of all income. Join Paul Meinhardt on his journey through a series of essays from Moonshine Days in the deep south to the political economy, marriage, jobs and income, all leading to the same proposition--that the solution to the global economic crisis is hiding in plain sight.
