Stuck in the Middle (Sister-to-Sister Book #1) Virginia Smith read online review & book description:

Joan Sanderson's life is stuck. Her older sister, Allie, is starting a family and her younger sister, Tori, has a budding career. Meanwhile, Joan is living at home with Mom and looking after her aging grandmother. Not exactly a recipe for excitement. That is, until a hunky young doctor moves in next door. Suddenly Joan has a goal--to get a date. But it won't be easy. Pretty Tori flirts relentlessly with him and Joan is sure that she can't compete. But with a little help from God, Allie, and an enormous mutt with bad manners, maybe Joan can find her way out of this rut.
Book 1 of the Sister-to-Sister series, Stuck in the Middle combines budding romance, spiritual searching, and a healthy dose of sibling rivalry.

You wait until the very end to read about a kiss ?! Too long of a book for the boring plot
  • Not what you're looking for

You don't want to read this if you're looking for romance. It looked okay then it led on religion. I have no problem with religion, but it was too much for me. Considering the fact that not all people believe in the same thing it was a very bad book.the romance is towards the end and the characters didn't get to know each other at all. Don't read if you want to hear a love story cause this isn't it.

This book is just beautiful. The characters are so lovable and the message is wonderful. I hope other people learn about their Father with this book. I just wish there was more. I want to know what happens with Joan and Ken and I want to read about their trip. I could read many more chapters and not get bored. I hope the sequels have all the characters and not just the other sisters. I especially hope there is more of Gram. I love her.

  • Good book but left me wanting...

I actually enjoy contemporary Christian fiction so I am not at all displeased with the course of this book. I was in tears, laughing so hard over the three sisters interactions. The mother/daughter banter over Gram, so real life! However, the ending left me wanting. I was hoping to find out there would be a second book and there is (2 in fact!) but they're about the other sisters and I'm sure we find out what happens to Joan but I really felt her story would be plenty enough to fill three books alone. I especially wanted a little more romance. Considering, I found this in the romance category I thought for sure there would be more than just a kiss.. A marriage proposal.. Anything really! As the tone was set pretty early I didn't think there would be anything steamy (or erotic) but the end just seemed so abrupt. Cute book though and I will probably buy the next two books as well.
