A Time to Kill John Grisham read online review & book description:

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • The master of the legal thriller probes the savage depths of racial violence in this searing courtroom drama featuring the beloved Jake Brigance.

“John Grisham may well be the best American storyteller writing today.”—The Philadelphia Inquirer

The life of a ten-year-old black girl is shattered by two drunken and remorseless white men. The mostly white town of Clanton in Ford County, Mississippi, reacts with shock and horror at the inhuman crime—until the girl’s father acquires an assault rifle and takes justice into his own hands.

For ten days, as burning crosses and the crack of sniper fire spread through the streets of Clanton, the nation sits spellbound as defense attorney Jake Brigance struggles to save his client’s life—and then his own.

I read this book a long time ago and decided to read it again. I remember liking it, but didn’t remember any of the details except for the beginning. The rest was like reading it for the first time. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it again. I loved the characters, I loved the story. Disturbing, scary, filled with love, hatred, bigotry and family loyalty. Fiction storytelling at its best, in my opinion. Glad to rate this 5 stars!

As of right now I haven't had the opportunity to read any of Mr Grisham books within the last year or so because of a lot of tragedies in my life. But him and James Patterson are my favorite authors so I have no doubt that these books will be just as good and inviting as everything else they have written. Can't wait to get caught up. Respectfully Yours, Mary

I am glad I found this Novel. It was an excellent read! It kept me wanting more and more, from the office to the train, I couldn't get enough. Jake Brigance was by far the best character In this book with Lucian. I am impressed with the author. Good job!

This is the first book I ever read from Grisham and it just made me become one of his biggest fans, I just can't stop reading his book one after the other just as they are realeaed. This is a great book it's very entertaining and has a lot of things to value and to think about it because it shows glimpses of how the segregation was in the mid 1900's. I hope you all enjoy it as I did.
