Burn For Me J.H. Croix read online review & book description:

One alpha man. One bossy woman. A fire that won’t die.

Once upon a time, Amelia was my everything. Until I lost her. Now I have a second chance, and I want her back.

She’s never forgiven me for something I didn’t even do. I’ve never forgiven her for believing the worst.

One look and the years apart go up in smoke. She’s all I ever wanted. A snappy attitude and the nerve to bring me to my knees.

We have seven years of bitterness tangled up between us. Yet, I can’t stay away.

The fire burns too hot. She’ll be mine. For keeps this time.

*A full-length standalone romance.

This was about the most boring book I’ve read. To much of the book devoted to describing the scenery and repeating what happened that caused Cade and Amelia to breakup in the first place. I didn’t think I was going to be able to finish it. Definitely wasn’t much dialogue. The small little sections that actually had dialogue between the characters was good but it was few and far between.

The storyline was cute but I didn’t like the authors style or writing. There was way too much attention to detail & the scenery than there was on dialogue. I shouldn’t have to read 2 pages into what the trees look like when somebody is driving.

The story flows and is interesting to the reader. I felt like I was there with the characters.
  • Croix knows how to capture the reader from the first page

The beginning scene in the bar instantly had me hooked. I could not out the book down. I love how she describes each character and their surroundings. The reader almost feels as if they can relate to the character and their situation. I am always amazed with her writing.

Love this book the best out of this series because that get together in the middle of the book not at the very end.

Looks like someone took a two week land cruise to Alaska and decided to pay for a trip by writing a story. One’s enough for me. The author could use the stereotyping of characters and geograpy for future trips. May I suggest Hawaii and maybe Australia?

Good writing. Ending is abrupt and no conclusion on Shannon. Her person need more development in the ending and storyline- a confrontation something! Decent book However
