The Zodiac Killer W.L. Knightly read online review & book description:

From USA Today Best Selling Authors Lexy Timms and Ali Parker come a new thriller pen name - WL Knightly

Detective Darek Blake thought the secrets of his past were long buried, but when a young girl is murdered in a familiar way, finding the killer will not only bring back memories he's repressed, but give him a golden opportunity to impress the FBI.

So, when his partner, Special Agent Lizzy McNamara digs up evidence that's a little too close to home, he's shaken to the core. The worst sin he's ever committed bubbles up, threatening to destroy his future.

Are the Zodiac killings a coincidence or is someone toying with him, and if so… who?

Warning: This is the first book in a thirteen-book series. Every book has a cliffhanger of some sort as we're telling the story of a serial killer. There will be a book out on the last Thursday of every month until we get to December, where book 13 will reveal everything. We invite you to join us on this year long journey and try as hard as you can to figure out... whodunit! There is cursing, violent situations, a bit of gore and murder in almost every book. Enjoy!!

Not sure how this book got so many good reviews. I'd say it's one step above trash. It doesn't actually resolve a thing at the end, just ends...not to mention, just wasn't that good.

A good book is a beginning, a middle and an end. Best selling author or not, you just list a reader. If I spend my time reading the first book to see if I want continue and purchase sequels or other books written, I deserve a book. You fooled me once so I won’t be purchasing anything from you so you can fool me again.

Loved the book. Couldn’t put it down. Too bad it ended. Will have to check the next ones out. Thanks!

Honestly I don’t write a lot of reviews but this book is good enough to deserve one, great journey to take with the main characters. One of the biggest selling points for me is the multiple perspective shifts that the book has, really makes things easy to follow. Would Recommend!!

I started reading in hopes to just find a decent book to keep me busy for a while. Turned out to be an amazing read, with plenty of twists, turns and mysteries. The book ends in a cliffhanger, and leaves you chomping at the bit to read the next book in series. Hope the rest of the books turn out as well as this one did.

Gave up in chapter 3. So predictable. Conversations between characters are so dumb. It’s almost funny it’s so awful.
  • Ends in the middle of the plot

I understand wanting to continue a story to get people to buy more books, but this one ends in the middle of the story.

Not a terrible plot (although there’s no way a conspiracy like this would survive the light of day in the real world), but the writing is bad. “They” rush through scenes without proper explanation and the story moves unbelievably fast. I’m glad the first book was free because otherwise I’d want my money back.
