My FallenCon agenda is simple: sit on a couple of panels and let people meet the real me. Jesse Garvy—mod of a famous Twitch channel and, if I ever come out of my shell, future vlogger. I definitely didn’t plan to sleep with a moody tattooed fan-artist, but he’s gorgeous and can’t keep his hands off me. There’s a first time for everything, and my first time with a guy turns out to be the hottest experience of my life.

But the next day, I find out my moody fan-artist is Ian Larsen AKA Cherry—someone I’ve known online for years. And he’d known exactly who I was while shoving me up against that wall. Before I figure out whether to be pissed or flattered, the con ends.

Now we’re back online, and he’s acting like nothing happened. But despite the distance between us, and the way he clings to the safety of his online persona, we made a real connection that night. I don’t plan to let him forget.

REVIEW

So I’ve been a fan of Santino and Megan’s Cyberlove series since I read the first book about a year ago. I was absolutely blown away by the romance, characters, and how creative and unique the plot is. I feel like with each book, I only love the stories, the characters, and everything else even more. I highly recommend reading the other two books before this one since the characters are all connected in a big way. This was such a fun and fast read. I enjoyed every single page of it.

I thought Jesse/Garvy was an amazing character. He was such a lovely and charismatic guy and I loved reading his POV. He’s only recently come to terms with his sexuality and he feels very relived now that he finally knows who he is and who he wants. He’s never actually been with a guy before, but he’s looking to experiment when he arrives at his first convention. I thought that his story and background was pretty interesting. At first, he seems like your average pretty boy, but he turns out to be a lot more complex and layered than just that. I also loved it when he realized that he wanted to be a vlogger and he slowly became more comfortable in front of the camera. He’s just an all around solid guy who genuinely cares and wants to help people in any way that he possibly can.

My heart completely broke for Ian/Cherry throughout the whole story. He had a rough childhood to say the least. He also has quite a bit of issues with social anxiety like our beloved Kai does. I thought his art was a really cool storyline that was added. I thought the persona that he used to play video games and the one that he uses to sell his art were both very intriguing sides to him. He had some serious struggles and insecurities about himself, and he found different ways to channel it. I felt like he was such a sympathetic and beautiful character as a whole. I don’t really know how to describe him totally accurately, all I can say is that you need to read it to fully get his greatness.

The romance was probably one of my favorite parts of the story as always. Guys, I knew that both of these authors write amazing and steamy romances on their own, but together they are somehow even better together, which I didn’t even think was possible. The romance got pretty hot rather quickly since the hook up the first time that they technically meet. But the scenes only got steamier and more romantic from there. Obviously Ian’s deception of knowing who Jesse actually was and him not realizing that Ian was Cherry made things more complicated between them, but I actually understand where he was coming from for the most part. Anyway, they ended up balancing each other out and I just loved them so much as a couple.

All in all, this was a wonderful third book to an absolutely awesome series. I definitely don’t think that these two should ever stop writing books together. At least one or two a year at the most would be great! I hope there will be a fourth book because I’m really hoping that Jesse’s cousin will get a story with a particular vlogger that he can’t stand. Another wonderful and unique thing about this book/series of the whole is how it tells these beautiful romance stories in such a modern way through video game chat rooms/dating apps. I hope that you guys give this book and the entire series a shot because it’s well worth the read!four-stars

About the Authors

Megan Erickson

Megan Erickson is a USA Today bestselling author of romance that sizzles. Her books have a touch of nerd, a dash of humor, and always have a happily ever after. A former journalist, she switched to fiction when she decided she liked writing her own endings better.
She lives in Pennsylvania with her very own nerdy husband and two kids. Although rather fun-sized, she’s been told she has a full-sized personality. When Megan isn’t writing, she’s either lounging with her two cats named after John Hughes characters or… thinking about writing.

Santino Hassell

Santino Hassell was raised by a conservative family, but he was anything but traditional. He grew up to be a smart-mouthed, school cutting grunge kid, then a transient twenty-something, and eventually transformed into an unlikely romance author.

Santino writes queer romance that is heavily influenced by the gritty, urban landscape of New York City, his belief that human relationships are complex and flawed, and his own life experiences.
