NOTE FROM THE AUTHORI could have put the typical blurb here.Boy meets girl. They fall in love.Live happily ever after. The end. But this isn’t THAT story.

Micalea Smeltzer has completely outdone herself with Bring Me Back. I’ve only read a few of her books previously, and though I did find them entertaining, they were also kind of on the lighter and fluffier side of things. That’s not a bad thing at all, I’m just saying that this specific book is a huge contrast to that other style. I recommend this to readers that don’t mind books that are very emotional. I don’t cry a lot when reading, but this book certainly brought tears to my eyes a number of times. It’s not just depressing though, it also has a great message about hope and letting yourself be happy again.

I’m not going to spend hardly anytime focusing on the plot because I don’t want to give anything away. I really believe that the author left the synopsis vague for a reason. She doesn’t want you to know everything about this book going in. Honestly, I knew what was going to happen just from piecing together some things that I read in a couple of reviews for the book. So if you want to be left in the dark, I recommend not reading a lot of reviews until after you read it! I’m not talking about specific details in the book for a reason. I want you to have the opportunity to read it for yourself. It might not be every romance readers cup of tea because of the sad subject matter, but you should give it a try if you like books that just make you feel in general. Yes, you’ll go through countless different emotions while reading this. But I promise that every last emotion felt is totally worth it in the end.

This book was way different than I was expecting. I knew based on what I’d read going in that it was an emotional roller coaster, but that still wasn’t enough to prepare me for it. It’s a beautiful story filled with memorable characters. The love story part of it all is very heartfelt and realistic. I loved every moment of it. Once I picked it up, I didn’t avert my eyes from the screen once. I refused to stop reading this really well written story. It’s not a suspenseful story or anything, you just keep reading so you can make sure that all of these characters end up having a happily ever after. It feels weird not providing more details about the characters. But I figured everything out just by someone talking about them, so I didn’t want to take any chances since I wanted this to be a 100% spoiler free review. Hopefully I still provided enough information to sell you on this book. I think you should definitely take a chance on reading Bring Me Back! Before I forget, it’s only 99 cents for a limited time so make sure you take advantage of that deal.
