Guest of the Month Club: MC From Blame It On The Books

January 31, 2016 Features 1

For those of you that may not be familiar about Guest of the Month, it’s a monthly feature hosted by Emily Reads Everything. We get paired up with a different partner each month and the guests talk about whatever the theme is. You can read more about it on Emily’s blog! This month, we get to hear from MC from Blame It On The Books. It’s been so much fun getting to know her! I’ll let MC take it from here.

There are SO MANY books that I want to read in 2016. There are going to be so many amazing 2016 releases, and I also have some great backlist titles sitting on my shelves waiting to be read. I tend to be really bad at sticking to a plan, so who knows if I will get to these books in 2016 or if I will get distracted by other pretty books (the probability of distraction is pretty high). But here are the books (in no particular order) that I really hope to get to this year….

More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera

I have been itching to read this book for so long, and I had the pleasure of seeing Adam speak at ALAMW and I got a signed copy! I have plans to read this with a book club I am part of in March and I can’t wait!

Incarnate by Jodi Meadows

Ideally, I want to read this entire series in 2016. I’m so excited to read it and see why everyone loves Jodi Meadows so much.

The Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss

I read book one of this series, *The Name of the Wind*, at the beginning of 2015, and I LOVED it. I find myself thinking about that world all the time. I can’t wait to dive into *The Wise Man’s Fear* and visit these characters again, even though it’s quite a beast of a book.

Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor

I have no idea why I haven’t continued on with this series yet, because I loved *Daughter of Smoke and Bone*. I hope that I can manage to complete the trilogy in 2016.

Winter by Marissa Meyer

No, I still haven’t read this yet. I know, it’s horrible of me. I really need to buckle down and get this series finished so I can know how it ends!

What do you want to read in 2016? Thanks for having me, Rachel! It’s been a lot of fun getting to know you!
